About University of Dallas

The University of Dallas is a private Catholic university in Irving, which is a city in Texas state, USA, situated within Dallas County, with a population of more than 201 900 inhabitants, as estimated during the 2006 census.


The university was established in 1956 and it is one of only 16 Catholic universities in the nation to earn a Phi Beta Kappa chapter. It offers its students B.A., B.S., M.A., M.B.A., M.F.A., Ph.D. degrees, its mission being to `educate its students, to develop intellectual and moral virtues, to prepare themselves for life and work, and to become leaders in the community.`


Athletics

The athletic teams at the University of Dallas are nicknamed the Crusaders (official) and Groundhogs (unofficial), and they compete in NCAA Division III. Their distinctive colors are dark blue and silver.
